Edward Scissorhands (Sidni kutsub kinno: „Edward Käärkäsi“ )

The Cinema Invite brings together young cultural voices and the films they love. Each guest chooses a favourite film to share with the audience, followed by a conversation about life, ideas and creative work.

The second guest and film selector of the season is Sidni Tomson,
content creator, TV presenter, and huge pop culture enthusiast.

Sidi has chosen Tim Burton´s "Edward Scissorhands" as her favorite film.

More about the film:

A story about a man whose hands are scissors. If that sounds strange, welcome to Tim Burton's world! One of the most celebrated American filmmakers of our time, Burton made his name with dark fairy tales about misunderstood or peculiar characters.

The most famous of these, Edward, is played by Johnny Depp in the 1990 romantic fantasy film. Edward is an unfinished artificial creation, who finds himself taken in by a foster family and falls in love with their daughter. But how to adapt to a world that sees you as a monster?

The tragic scissor-handed hero has become one of the most iconic film characters of the 1990s. Both director Tim Burton and composer Danny Elfman have described Edward Scissorhands as their most personal and important work.
