The film programme Life After for Tallinn Photomonth 2019 offers a selection of recent and historical moving image works by artists from across the realms of documentary, fiction, experimental film, and video art. The three evenings of film, titled Work Starts Now, East from West and Better Half, are curated by Ingel Vaikla and Jesse Cumming. Each of the screenings is followed by a moderated talk with guest artists.

Screening Work Starts Now is curated by Jesse Cumming. In a moment of anxiety about global disaster and collapse, these films offer suggestions of imagined pasts, alternative presents, and uncertain futures.
