On 25–26 August 2026, the Baltic Film Days bring some of the most outstanding recent Latvian and Lithuanian films to the screen at Kino Sõprus. This year marks a special anniversary, as the event takes place for the 10th time.
It is a unique chance to get to know the freshest cinema from the Baltics, and to better understand the strengths and cultural value of our region's films. The programme features a selection of [most recent] Latvian and Lithuanian feature films [from last year] [from recent years], a documentary, and a programme of short films.
Before certain screenings, there will be meetings with the filmmakers, offering a chance to explore the films more deeply and for the directors to share their knowledge and experience. The event is held simultaneously in Latvia and Lithuania to celebrate the cultural uniqueness of the Baltics and to commemorate the anniversary of the Baltic Way.
