Cassius Green (Lakeith Stanfield) is a 30-something whose brilliant artist girlfriend, Detroit (Tessa Thompson) seems to be the one good thing in his life. When he takes a job at a telemarketing company he discovers a gift for salesmanship that sees him climb the corporate ladder and brings him to the attention of eccentric CEO, Steve Lift (Armie Hammer).
