As part ot the events of the Ukrainian Cinema Club in Estonia, we invite you on February 11th at 13:00 to the screening of the Ukrainian film "Kings of Rap" directed by Myroslav Laiyk. The screening is organized by the Association of Ukrainian Organizations in Estonia with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine in Estonia.

"Kings of Rap" is a Ukrainian feature film, a music-crime drama. The film was presented at the Odessa International Film Festival back in 2021, but due to the pandemic and the full-scale release, it only hit the screens in the summer of 2023. The events of the film take place in our days in a village where life seems dull and unpromising to the film's characters, so they see the only chance for a better life in escaping from there. "Kings of Rap" tell the story of a 17-year-old boy nicknamed Kazan (Mykhailo Dziuba), who, along with his friend Peanut (Anton Velboi), dreams of becoming rappers. Kazan wants to win the heart of his girlfriend Sveta. He is ready to take risks for his dreams, but circumstances direct his life in a different direction.

The film's creators emphasize that all the music in the film is Ukrainian, and they are very proud of this fact. The film's composer and sound producer is the Ukrainian electronic musician Cepasa (Pavlo Lenchanko). The film also features tracks by well-known Ukrainian musicians such as Kalush, KAZKA, Crechet, Wellboy, and others.
