Part of an episodic film celebrating the Cannes film festival. 35 of the world's best directors were invited to shoot a short story for the film. The anniversary film's theme was cinema. In his episode, Kaurismäki pictured foundry workers who work day and night shifts in Karkkila, Finland. On their lunch break, the men go to watch a movie at the local cinema.

His care and feeding of the animal impresses the woman singing with the band – she and the visitor connect, but who will watch the donkey if they slip away?
