Levitaja Toidufilmide Festival
Traditional Japanese cuisine, French cuisine and sushi. Through the beautiful seasons of Hokkaido, we follow the daily lives of four chefs who pursue their culinary arts, alongside the farmers, citizens and culture of Northern Japan.
The Food Film Festival is a unique film festival in the Nordic and Baltic countries, with a successful debut in the spring of 2019. High-quality and new documentaries bring to cinema audiences the work of culinary geniuses, the stories of top restaurants, industry innovation, honest ingredients, the importance of sustainability, inspiring individuals and activities, as well as challenges and difficulties.
The festival takes cinema audiences on a journey to different places, behind the scenes of top restaurants, and into the inner lives of inspiring people, places that would otherwise be impossible to access.
The mission of the Food Film Festival is to inspire, encourage, raise awareness, and support both field-specific documentary filmmaking and local actors and food culture in general through its activities.
The films are screened with English subtitles. A ticket to a cinema screening costs €10.
The Food Film Festival is organized by the Food Film Festival NGO.
