Lyudmila, a devout Communist Party official and idealistic veteran of WW II, is a scourge of anything she perceives as anti-Soviet sentiment. Her life – and beliefs – change in a dramatic moment when during mass anti government protests her own daughter disappears. As she roams the city torn apart by riots, arrests, hasty convictions and by the curfew, she starts realising that there is no single truth. Based on the real event in the USSR, 1962, the film shockingly reminds us of todays realities and inspires hope in humanity.
