We are honored to have the national premieres for four Estonian animations. Ülo Pikkov’s Letting go is a mix of stop motion and live action, inspired by a story of an orphan girl who’s grown up to a woman. Chintis Lundgren’s comedy Manivald tells the story of an unexpected love triangle, and has already successfully circled many festivals. Chintis Lundgren’s comedy Manivald tells the story of an unexpected love triangle, and has already successfully circled many festivals. Two student films – Pearfall by Leonid Shmelkov and 5th Round by Leander Meresaar will also have their first public screenings here at the festival. Besides these premieres one will see several other student films from the Estonian Art Academy and 3 short fenno-ugric folk tales made for the Estonian National museum with Eesti Joonisfilm studio.
